Watertown Art League presents Shauna Shane demonstrating acrylic with pastel painting techniques. 

Meeting date is Monday April 8, 2013 at 7 PM
Open to the public and free.

The Watertown Art League will present Shauna Shane, demonstrating painting an acrylic under-painting with pastel applied over it creating a multi-media painting.  Working in a variety of mediums including watercolor, oil, and pastel, Shauna’s painting are saturated with light and color.  Watching Shauna is an art education in itself, as she talks theory, color and technique while she is painting.  A popular demonstrator and teacher, you will journey into her artistic world of skill, observation, knowledge and her communication with the brush and her surroundings. 

Shauna was selected as a Resident Artist at the New Britain Museum of American Art and Yellowstone National Park.  A professional painter for more than 30 years, Shauna is represented in numerous collections around the world.  An elected artist member of the Lyme Art Association and CT. Plein Air Society, Shauna is represented in galleries in CT, Cape Cod, Montana and Florida. 

The Watertown Art League meets the second Monday of the month.  The April 8, 2013 meeting will begin at 7 PM at the first Congregational Church, 40 DeForest Street, (Route 63 & 6), Watertown, CT.  Doors open at 6:30.  These meetings are open, free and the public is invited and encouraged to attend.  Those seeking additional information may call May at 203-574-2835 or visit http://run.to/WAL
